 JHH is committed
to rapidly respond to communicable disease outbreaks both small
and large. In addition to the prevention of nosocomial transmission,
HEIC staff and faculty consult on outbreaks of communicable diseases
in the community.
HEIC should be notified of any unusual occurrence of disease,
particularly diseases that have the potential to expose many susceptible
individuals. With some diseases and infections, one case may require
a response.
Diseases highlighted
in red should be reported to HEIC immediately
