JHH Weekly Report: 2004-2005 Influenza Season

Synopsis:
There are 532 patients that have been seen at JHH with Influenza so far this season. Most cases of flu are Influenza Type A (77%). There are some cases of Influenza Type B (23%).

Of these patients, 317 have been admitted, of which 249 are adults and 68 are children.

This season started off slowly but dramatically increased. It is unclear how much of an impact the Flu Vaccine Shortage has on this year's infection rates. It appears we are nearing the end of the season.
