Ventilation

·        HEPA  filtration or Laminar air-flow

·        Maintain appropriate pressure relationships

·        Check window seals, stairwells,  vents,  ducts

 

Environment

·        Eliminate carpet and other sources of dust

·        Avoid dust generating activities (wet mopping, HEPA

       vacuuming)

·        Eliminate flowers, potted ornamental plants

·        Keep windows closed

·        Develop and maintain strict cleaning procedures

 

Personal Hygiene

·        Masks (95) when out of protected environment

·        Consider other protective environments (mobile tents)

·        Avoid unprocessed food

 

Construction

·        Develop policy for construction and renovation

·        Seal off construction areas

·        Treat fireproofing with fungicide (copper-8-quinonolate)

·        Assure filters properly sealed in new buildings

·        Define disease and find cases of nosocomial infection
